Initiated and funded by The Chicago Community Trust, Chicago Matters is an annual exploration—via television, radio, print and community dialogue—of an issue of broad concern to the Chicago region.
About Growing Forward
Chicago Matters: Growing Forward will focus each month on a different aspect of our region’s resources including air, transportation, water and food.
Water smart. During the summer, water your grass and garden early in the morning or evening. If you water during the day, half of the water just evaporates. Also don't allow sprinklers to water your street, driveway or sidewalk. Position them so the water lands on the lawn and shrubs—not the paved areas.
